Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, and validation of sophisticated statistical, machine learning, and optimization models.

• Address intricate business and operational challenges across GXO products and workflows.

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, deployment leaders, and business stakeholders to define use cases.

• Establish success metrics and determine necessary data sources.

• Prioritize solutions in data science.

• Convey analytical insights, model trade-offs, uncertainties, and suggested actions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Enhance data science standards through methodological assessments, documentation, mentoring, and ongoing improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in data science, machine learning, and advanced analytics.

• Proven track record of guiding analytical or machine learning solutions from exploration through to deployment and continuous performance management.

• Proficient in Python and SQL.

• Experience in creating maintainable data science workflows.

• Familiarity with building feature engineering pipelines.

• Background in constructing experimentation frameworks.

• Expertise in developing model evaluation code suitable for production environments.

• Working knowledge of GCP-based data and machine learning ecosystems.

• Ideally, experience with BigQuery, Vertex AI, and cloud workflows that support deployment, monitoring, and retraining.

• Ability to work flexibly across various time zones, including the US.
