Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and execute sophisticated data science, statistical modeling, and machine learning solutions.

• Analyze extensive and intricate datasets to uncover trends, patterns, relationships, and actionable insights.

• Develop and validate statistical and machine learning models.

• Conduct data exploration, preparation, transformation, feature engineering, and statistical analysis.

• Create analytical solutions utilizing Python, R, SQL, and other data science technologies.

• Construct dashboards, visualizations, and analytical products with Power BI and Tableau.

• Convert analytical findings into actionable recommendations.

• Communicate analytical results and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, system owners, business stakeholders, and organizational leadership.

• Implement data management best practices to ensure data quality, integrity, security, privacy, and appropriate data use.

• Contribute to the establishment of data governance and analytical standards.

• Enhance analytical processes, models, reporting capabilities, and data products.

• Document analytical methodologies, models, assumptions, results, and technical processes.

• Foster consensus, resolve issues, and align stakeholders around data-driven solutions.

• Assist with system authorization, compliance, and operational readiness activities.

• Stay abreast of emerging technologies in data science, machine learning, statistical modeling, visualization, and analytics.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 5–10 years of relevant experience in data science, statistical modeling, and machine learning.

• Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL.

• Capability to design and implement intricate analytical models and analyze large, complex datasets.

• Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau.

• Understanding of data management best practices, including data quality, security, and privacy regulations.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Experience in collaboration across organizations, building consensus, and securing necessary system authorizations.

• Must possess or be eligible to obtain and complete a government security screening and/or a Secret security clearance.
