This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create traditional machine learning models from initial proof of concept to full production deployment.
• Take ownership of feature engineering, validation, deployment, performance monitoring, drift detection, and retraining.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate models into Bestow’s existing pipelines and platforms.
• Design internal analytics products, dashboards, self-service reporting, natural language interfaces, and agentic tools.
• Develop applications powered by LLMs and agentic systems with evaluation, monitoring, and human oversight in a regulated environment.
• Document processes, train, and empower business stakeholders to use analytics tools and agents independently.
• Transform recurring analytical and modeling tasks into automated pipelines and monitoring systems that identify anomalies and provide insights proactively.
• Write production-level Python and SQL code utilizing version control, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Enhance data quality, documentation, and modeling standards.
• Establish frameworks for AI-assisted and agentic analytics workflows within the team.
• Work in conjunction with product, actuarial, marketing, operations, and engineering teams.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in data science or a related field.
• Proven history of deploying ML models and data products in production environments.
• Proficient in advanced SQL.
• Familiarity with cloud data warehouses, ideally BigQuery.
• Experience in clean and maintainable Python development.
• Practical experience in building traditional ML models, including classification, regression, or similar methodologies.
• Background in moving models from prototype to production, including continuous performance monitoring.
• Strong foundation in statistics, including feature engineering and validation techniques.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and agentic systems, encompassing prompting, retrieval, tool utilization, and evaluation.
• Experience integrating AI coding agents like Claude Code or Cursor into daily workflows.
• Proven ability to drive stakeholder adoption of tools.
• Capability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders and translate requirements into functional models and tools.
• Ability to independently define the scope of work and ensure successful adoption.
• Experience in developing or contributing to agent-based or LLM-powered analytics platforms (preferred).
• Background in insurance, fintech, or other regulated sectors (preferred).
• Experience in constructing internal web tools or lightweight front ends for analytics products (preferred).
• Familiarity with version control, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must not require visa sponsorship to continue full-time employment in the United States.
