This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design and implementation of reporting and analysis initiatives

• Organize, refine, and evaluate data across various content domains

• Aid in the creation, execution, and upkeep of reports, dashboards, and other data products

• Produce actionable insights and convey findings through memos as well as written, visual, and spoken presentations

• Act as a collaborative partner to KIPP Foundation program teams

• Contribute to annual data collection, quality assurance, and validation processes

• Assist in the development of business, functional, and technical specifications for data collection, quality assurance, validation, and data warehousing

• Provide support to KIPP Foundation, regions, schools, and community members with grant proposals, secondary research, and on-demand data inquiries

• Help plan and implement annual network-oriented events, including network retreats

• Participate in planning, facilitating, and enhancing the Data & Analytics team culture and equity initiatives

• Collaborate with Data & Technology colleagues and other KIPP Foundation and KIPP Network program teams

• Concentrate mainly on K-8 academic programs, high school and postsecondary education, or talent and leadership development


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a position centered on quantitative reporting and analysis, data management, and quality assurance

• Proficiency in SQL or other programming languages/statistical software such as Python, R, SAS, or Stata

• Experience in developing dashboards and data visualizations using BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data and insights in accessible formats for non-technical audiences

• Customer service-oriented mindset aimed at supporting program teams with their data requirements

• Understanding of data quality assurance practices

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Information Technology, Social Sciences, or a related field

• Strong commitment to racial and educational equity

• Preferred: Experience in a K-12 and/or higher education environment

• Preferred: Familiarity with statistical methods

• Preferred: Experience with Salesforce, Jira, Zendesk, or similar technologies
