This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gain insights into enterprise-wide analytical requirements.
• Define critical questions, convert requirements into implementable data and analytics solutions, and ensure objectives are aligned with measurable outcomes.
• Offer thought leadership in advanced analytics, encompassing statistical analysis and various modeling techniques such as descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive modeling.
• Integrate insights related to financial performance, forecasts, products, geography, industries, competitive landscape, and customer segments.
• Create and implement scalable data and analytics solutions utilizing Python, SQL, SQL Server, Oracle, AWS, and Power BI.
• Utilize advanced statistical and quantitative methods, including complex predictive modeling.
• Assess current and emerging technologies to spot trends and improve analytical capabilities.
• Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives.
• Present complex analytical results to management and executive audiences effectively.
• Promote the adoption of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning by spearheading initiatives, establishing best practices, and enhancing capabilities.
• Mentor and nurture junior team members.
• Provide consistent updates and insights to management.
• Resume must be submitted in English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Quantitative Economics, Marketing Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
• A Master’s degree along with relevant professional experience is preferred.
• At least 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a comparable analytical, quantitative, or technical position.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Practical experience in data engineering, data wrangling, feature engineering, and scalable data processing.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and machine learning methodologies, including regression, hypothesis testing, dimensionality reduction, predictive modeling, and data mining.
• Experience working with various data sources, data platforms, and reporting/analytics tools like SQL Server and Denodo or similar technologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Proficient in Power BI and advanced Excel.
• Strong grasp of data modeling principles, ML libraries, and best practices.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities and excel in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Ability to explore and utilize new data sources, tools, and methodologies.
