This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Design, develop, and assess production-level statistical and machine learning models.
• Create predictive solutions that enhance healthcare operations, member experience, provider engagement, and overall business performance.
• Execute feature engineering and validate models.
• Establish optimal practices for experimentation and model evaluation.
• Utilize and promote advanced statistical methodologies.
• Analyze extensive and intricate datasets to uncover trends, opportunities, and operational insights.
• Convert business inquiries into analytical strategies and measurable results.
• Deliver findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Assist business stakeholders in making informed, data-driven decisions.
• Design and analyze experiments that assess process enhancements, AI systems, and business interventions.
• Define success metrics and measurement strategies for AI and analytics projects.
• Evaluate model performance and its business impact over time.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to establish KPIs.
• Create dashboards aimed at executives and business users.
• Promote metric standardization and ensure consistency in reporting.
• Analyze trends and provide insights on shifts in business performance.
• Identify opportunities where analytics, machine learning, or AI can enhance operational outcomes.
• Assist in the evaluation of emerging AI capabilities and relevant business use cases.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a similar combination of education and experience is required.
• Over 5 years of experience in data science, analytics, machine learning, AI, or applied statistics.
• Proficient knowledge of statistics.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Advanced understanding of SQL.
• Experience in developing predictive models and analytical solutions.
• Proven ability to communicate insights effectively to business stakeholders and executives.
• Solid comprehension of experimentation, model evaluation, and statistical analysis.
• Familiarity with working in healthcare, insurance, claims, or other regulated industries.
• Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud-based analytics environments.
• Understanding of machine learning deployment workflows.
• Knowledge of generative AI evaluation methodologies and LLM-based systems.
• Experience with coding assistants, such as Claude Code, for feature-oriented development.
• Reliable internet connection through a cable broadband or fiber optic service provider with a minimum speed of 100Mbps download/25Mbps upload is required for remote work.
