Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Develop machine learning solutions for production deployment.

• Establish features, modeling, scoring logic, and evaluation techniques.

• Construct and deploy monitored production machine learning models.

• Forecast user roles and classify activities based on behavioral event data.

• Create cross-account benchmarking utilizing aggregated usage patterns.

• Balance model complexity with business value, reliability, latency/cost, and iteration speed.

• Collaborate with Data Engineers to transform models and analyses into robust, scalable production systems.

• Take ownership of ongoing model performance in production and enhance models continuously.

• Work collaboratively across model and platform boundaries when production challenges affect both areas.

• Function as an individual contributor without managing personnel.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in deploying machine learning solutions at scale.

• Proficient in Python with strong software engineering practices, including testing, code reviews, and version control.

• Experience in classification and prediction challenges related to behavioral, event, or user activity data.

• Strong SQL skills and ability to work directly with production data sources.

• Background in feature engineering, including defining, standardizing, and validating features for production models.

• Experience in monitoring model quality post-deployment and addressing drift or degradation.

• Preferred experience in time series analysis and/or hidden state models.

• Familiarity with parallel dataframes like Dask or Spark is a plus.

• Experience with layered/medallion-style data architecture is preferred.

• Feature store experience is advantageous.

• Experience in cloud environments, particularly GCP or AWS, is preferred.

• Comfort with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
