Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Enhance agent interactions, qualification processes, and booking behaviors through effective conversation design, prompting techniques, and campaign logic.

• Create evaluation systems utilizing automated conversation tracing, simulated dialogues, and model-based assessments.

• Develop frameworks and methodologies for experimental design to guide decision-making.

• Examine actual conversations to pinpoint failures, establish taxonomies, quantify failure rates, and prioritize enhancements.

• Construct predictive models focusing on qualification, appointment quality, homeowner involvement, channel selection, and timing choices.

• Deploy models into production while ensuring ongoing monitoring and testing.

• Work collaboratively with engineers, product managers, designers, and operations partners from concept through to implementation.

• Investigate innovative solutions to intricate business challenges.

• Mentor junior team members, fostering technical excellence and knowledge dissemination.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields), or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 4 years of experience in data science and machine learning.

• Familiarity with non-deterministic systems such as LLM applications, conversational agents, or ranking and recommendation systems.

• Experience in developing metrics to assess system quality.

• Proficient in statistical principles and experimental design, including power and sample size considerations, sequential and non-inferiority designs, and correlated data analysis.

• Skilled in analyzing and categorizing extensive volumes of genuine customer interactions.

• Demonstrated history of transitioning impactful work into production and managing operational systems.

• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.

• Experience with cloud-based machine learning solutions.

• Exceptional communication abilities, capable of articulating complex technical ideas to non-technical audiences.

• Preferred: Background in deploying LLM applications, including prompting, agent design, or evaluation tools.

• Preferred: Experience with voice or telephony systems, encompassing streaming speech recognition, turn-taking, or call quality assessment.

• Preferred: Experience in workflow orchestration for sustained processes.

• Preferred: Experience in home services, field service, or other operations-intensive marketplaces.
