Senior Data Science Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Design and execute machine learning and advanced analytics models utilizing Python, PySpark, and SQL.

• Implement supervised and unsupervised learning alongside statistical modeling techniques on extensive transactional and behavioral datasets.

• Conduct data analysis, feature engineering, and model assessment to uncover patterns and produce actionable insights.

• Validate, monitor, and enhance model performance, incorporating model explainability methods such as SHAP.

• Utilize cloud-based data platforms like Databricks and Azure to develop and operationalize analytical solutions.

• Partner with data engineers and software engineering teams to ensure scalable and dependable data and ML solutions.

• Convert intricate analytical outcomes into clear, business-relevant insights and recommendations.

• Assist in analytics initiatives within regulated environments, including financial services and AML/KYC scenarios.

• Present findings and recommendations to both business stakeholders and technical teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics.

• Proven expertise in supervised and unsupervised learning, statistical modeling, and data analysis.

• Experience handling large-scale transactional or behavioral datasets.

• Strong programming proficiency in Python, including PySpark and ML libraries, as well as SQL.

• Familiarity with model validation, monitoring, and explainability techniques such as SHAP.

• Understanding of data engineering principles and collaboration with engineering teams.

• Experience in regulated environments like financial services and AML/KYC is a significant advantage.

• Proficient with cloud-based data platforms such as Databricks and Azure.

• Capable of translating complex analytics into business-relevant insights.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

• Fluent in English; proficiency in other European languages is a plus.
