This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Perform in-depth data analysis to identify, trace, and address root-cause discrepancies across actuarial, finance, and operational datasets.
• Collaborate with actuarial and finance teams to ensure data accuracy for reserving, modeling, and financial reporting purposes.
• Create, develop, and maintain automated Power BI dashboards and SQL queries to monitor data integrity and essential performance metrics.
• Incorporate cutting-edge AI tools and automated pipelines into daily operations to enhance analytical efficiency and simplify reporting.
• Work alongside Data Engineering, Product, and Finance teams to harmonize data definitions, optimize data models, and facilitate system integrations such as Workday/ERP.
• Assume responsibility for data quality initiatives within a rapidly growing startup environment.
• Over 3 years of experience in analyzing insurance data, particularly in support of actuarial (reserving/modeling) or insurance finance roles.
• Advanced skills in SQL, Excel, and Power BI for comprehensive analytical investigations, data modeling, and reporting.
• Previous actuarial experience or current progress on actuarial examinations.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a strong curiosity to investigate, trace, and resolve intricate data discrepancies.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and navigate ambiguity with agility and precision.
• Experience linking insurance data to ERP or financial systems, particularly Workday (preferred).
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Python, Power Query, or utilizing AI tools to enhance everyday workflows (preferred).
• Direct experience within a true Managing General Agent (MGA) structure (preferred).
• Understanding of financial planning and analysis workflows in conjunction with core actuarial responsibilities (preferred).
• Authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
