Senior Data Operations Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +7 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee data quality throughout each phase of the pipeline and develop scalable aggregate-level testing plans.

• Identify genuine signals amidst data-quality challenges through hypothesis testing.

• Execute root-cause analyses that lead to preventative measures.

• Take ownership of end-to-end data product releases, ensuring they are accurate, reliable, and timely.

• Manage projects involving cross-functional teams across multiple deadlines.

• Directly communicate action plans and timelines to clients.

• Lead initiatives for coverage expansion from initial scoping to final delivery.

• Collaborate with the Commercial team to transform customer data usage into seamless solutions.

• Work alongside Data Science and Engineering teams to address feasibility gaps.

• Utilize AI to enhance workflows while minimizing QA overhead.

• Report directly to the VP of Data Operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years in data-focused positions.

• Proficient in SQL, with a proven history of analyzing large datasets for discrepancies.

• Experience in large-scale operations: complex multi-table environments with regular update cycles, rather than static extracts.

• Skilled in creating data quality testing plans that are robust at the aggregate level.

• Comfortable making sound judgment calls in situations where outcomes are not clear.

• Direct experience collaborating with Engineering and Data Science teams.

• Proficient in cross-functional project management, holding accountability for business results.

• Customer-facing experience in converting client feedback into technical implementations.

• Familiarity with advanced SQL, dbt, YAML, Regex, Excel, BigQuery, GCP Cloud Storage, Dataproc, complex ETL processes, Looker, Redash, and Git.

• Knowledge of Python, panel/longitudinal/subscription data, and exposure to pandas or PySpark is a plus.

• Experience managing data vendors, mentoring team members, and familiarity with data-as-a-product/market intelligence/syndicated data in a small remote-first team is advantageous.

• Availability to work full-time during US business hours.

• Based in LATAM.
