Senior Data Integration Specialist – Smart Grid Software

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Become part of a four-member team.

• Create digital twins of power grids using Venios.Net for our clients.

• Design and oversee both the functional and technical architectures.

• Integrate various data sources and systems, including GIS, SCADA, metering systems, asset data, and weather and forecasting information.

• Ensure the accuracy of supplied data.

• Collaborate closely with project management, product management, development, DevOps, and customers.

• Serve as a technical sparring partner.

• Assist the implementation team with pilots and rollouts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree in a STEM discipline, preferably in Computer Science, Geoinformatics, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.

• Several years of programming experience, ideally in high-level languages like C#.

• Extensive experience as a Data Integrator, System Integrator, or in a similar capacity.

• Proficiency in complex data models, integration architectures, and APIs.

• Ideally, familiarity with the energy or smart-grid sector, including distribution grids, grid models, and grid operations.

• Knowledge of power-grid structures and geographic information systems is advantageous.

• Strong grasp of IT architectures, distributed systems, cloud platforms, and data architectures.

• Proficient in both German and English languages.

• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.

• Residency in or a valid work permit for Germany or Austria.
