Senior Data Insights Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Perform alert testing and calibration, which includes Above-the-Line and Below-the-Line analysis.

• Assess alert thresholds and criteria while identifying potential areas for improvement.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts in Supervision to understand alert objectives, business rules, supervisory considerations, and past outcomes.

• Identify the necessary data and partner with SMEs, data owners, and technology teams to acquire it.

• Utilize SQL to extract, prepare, combine, and analyze data from AWS Redshift and other authorized data sources.

• Identify trends, anomalies, concentrations, and other significant insights within Supervision data.

• Explore the underlying factors driving analytical results.

• Deliver clear findings and potential recommendations to SMEs and stakeholders.

• Assess data quality, investigate inconsistencies or gaps, evaluate their impact, and suggest improvements.

• Employ approved AI-assisted and other analytical tools to facilitate data exploration and analysis while verifying results.

• Create reports, presentations, and visualizations utilizing Qlik Sense and other visualization tools.

• Apply analytical, data, and problem-solving skills to dynamic projects and business inquiries.

• Execute other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics or a related discipline (such as Business Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Finance) along with three (3) years of professional experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, certifications, and/or training.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Proficient in using SQL for querying, joining, aggregating, preparing, and analyzing data.

• Experience with AWS Redshift or a comparable data platform is preferred.

• Familiarity with data from diverse sources and translating analytical insights into clear business recommendations.

• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Proven experience in creating clear and professional PowerPoint presentations.

• Familiarity with Qlik Sense, Tableau, Power BI, or similar data visualization tools is preferred.

• Experience with Python, Pandas, Jupyter notebooks, or similar tools is a plus.

• Experience utilizing AI-assisted tools for data analysis, exploration, and insight generation is preferred.

• Knowledge of financial services, wealth management, supervision, compliance, risk management, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.

• Ability to work collaboratively with SMEs, data owners, and technology partners.

• Capacity to communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and adapt as projects and business demands evolve.

• Licenses/certifications that indicate knowledge or expertise in data analytics and/or business intelligence software are preferred.
