This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Design and create robust, scalable, and easily monitorable data pipelines.
• Develop solutions for data ingestion, transformation, integration, and delivery.
• Engage with contemporary data architectures, including Data Lakes, Lakehouses, Data Warehouses, and Analytics platforms.
• Craft solutions utilizing Microsoft Fabric and/or AWS Databricks.
• Employ Data Engineering principles irrespective of the technology or platform used.
• Operate within Microsoft Azure and AWS environments.
• Influence decisions related to data architecture, modeling, processing, quality, security, and governance.
• Guarantee the reliability, observability, performance, and maintainability of solutions.
• Collaborate with BI, Data Science, Software Engineering, and business professionals.
• Take part in and lead technical and alignment meetings with clients and stakeholders.
• Spot opportunities for automation and the integration of Artificial Intelligence.
• Document solutions, technical decisions, processes, and best practices.
• Assume responsibility for the planning, execution, and delivery of data products.
• Thrive in a collaborative, dynamic, and delivery-focused environment aimed at high-impact data solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Senior-level professional experience in Data Engineering.
• Comprehensive understanding of data architecture, data modeling and storage, Batch and Streaming processing, data integration, and transformation, including Data Lakes, Lakehouses, and Data Warehouses.
• Knowledgeable in data quality, governance, security, and lineage.
• Familiarity with pipeline orchestration and monitoring.
• Proficient in development, testing, version control, and CI/CD practices.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or AWS Databricks.
• Capability to operate across various platforms, grasping Data Engineering fundamentals regardless of the technology.
• Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Azure and AWS environments.
• Experience utilizing Artificial Intelligence in professional contexts.
• Ability to showcase tangible productivity improvements achieved through AI.
• Proficient in technical English for interpreting documentation, articles, and industry resources.
• Willingness to work full-time during standard business hours.
• Availability to engage in virtual meetings with cameras on.
• Knowledge of Apache Spark, SQL, and Python.
• Experience with AWS data services like Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Athena, Amazon EMR, Step Functions, and Lambda.
• Familiarity with orchestration, messaging, observability, and continuous integration tools.
• Experience in DataOps, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Knowledge of Generative Artificial Intelligence and AI-assisted development tools.
• Certifications in Microsoft, Databricks, Azure, AWS, or Data Engineering are a plus.
• Previous experience at consulting firms or on varied client and industry projects is advantageous.
• Clear and concise communication skills, capable of leading meetings, presentations, and technical discussions.
• Ability to mediate conflicts and foster consensus.
