Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Assist both new and existing clients with their data engineering requirements.

• Advise clients on technical decisions to help them achieve their objectives.

• Manage multiple customer accounts while tracking and reporting on progress.

• Design, create, and implement sophisticated data solutions.

• Resolve issues, implement transformations, and suggest data cleansing and quality enhancements.

• Evaluate data sources and propose their integration into analytical processes.

• Integrate data governance, data security, and data quality standards.

• Collaborate with various teams to facilitate delivery and educate end users about data products and analytical environments.

• Conduct data and system analysis, as well as assess and resolve defects and incidents.

• Validate data movement, transformation scripts, and data components.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in data engineering and data product development.

• Proficiency with one or more of the following: Spark, Hadoop, Kafka; pandas, scikit-learn, HPO; SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS.

• Strong comprehension of the complete data analytics workflow.

• Proven expertise and comprehensive knowledge of the systems being utilized.

• Established problem-solving and debugging capabilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Intermediate leadership abilities and a track record of self-motivation in recognizing personal growth opportunities.

• Outstanding time management and prioritization skills.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering field.

• Preferred: Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Preferred: Certification in Databricks data engineering or machine learning.
