This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Design, develop, and enhance Data Engineering solutions utilizing AWS and Databricks.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines, ensuring they are scalable, performant, and reliable.
• Conduct data modeling to fulfill analytical and business requirements.
• Create data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes from various sources.
• Handle large data volumes while applying engineering best practices and distributed processing techniques.
• Develop and optimize workloads on Databricks, focusing on processing efficiency and quality.
• Leverage AWS ecosystem services and resources to construct and maintain data solutions.
• Implement practices for data quality, monitoring, validation, and governance.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Document solutions, processes, and pipelines to ensure traceability and ease of maintenance.
• Assist in identifying and resolving issues related to data, pipelines, and performance.
• Robust experience as a Senior Data Engineer.
• Demonstrated experience with Databricks in enterprise settings.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and its Data Engineering services.
• Advanced SQL proficiency and experience in data modeling.
• Experience in developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Knowledge of large-scale data processing and contemporary data architectures.
• Proficiency in Python and/or PySpark.
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience in integrating data from multiple sources.
• Understanding of data quality, governance, and security best practices.
• Capability to work independently, demonstrating organization and accountability on enterprise projects.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and business teams.
• Preferred: experience with Lakehouse architecture.
• Preferred: knowledge of Delta Lake.
• Preferred: familiarity with AWS Glue, S3, Redshift, Lambda, or Kinesis.
• Preferred: understanding of CI/CD, Git, and DevOps practices applied to data.
• Preferred: experience with pipeline orchestration tools.
• Preferred: experience in cloud data platform modernization projects.
• Preferred: background in customer service environments or business-oriented solutions.
