Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement secure, scalable, high-performing, and resilient end-to-end cloud data solutions.

• Take ownership of the design, development, and deployment of data solutions and pipelines tailored for enterprise clients.

• Convert business requirements into technical data architectures, integration patterns, and models.

• Ensure that solutions fulfill performance, security, reliability, and scalability criteria in a production environment.

• Deliver projects punctually, within the defined scope, and with quantifiable business value.

• Collaborate with data engineering, software engineering, analytics, platform teams, client stakeholders, architects, and engagement leaders.

• Provide technical guidance during design and code reviews, proof-of-concept initiatives, and implementation workshops.

• Maintain the quality of deliverables through testing, documentation, governance, and change management processes.

• Identify opportunities to enrich engagements, enhance delivery, and standardize reusable patterns and components.

• Create accelerators, templates, playbooks, and best practices for cloud data platforms.

• Develop reusable technical documentation, architectures, roadmaps, and operational runbooks.

• Mentor colleagues and disseminate knowledge through coaching and community practices.

• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer and/or Data Engineer in constructing and deploying production-grade data solutions.

• Proficient in developing end-to-end technical solutions for production with a strong emphasis on performance, security, scalability, and robust data integration.

• Programming proficiency in Python and/or Scala for data processing, automation, and orchestration tasks.

• Practical experience with core cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure, and/or Databricks.

• Strong SQL capabilities, including the ability to write, debug, and optimize complex queries.

• Proven experience in creating and delivering detailed technical presentations for both client and internal stakeholders.

• Experience in producing comprehensive solution documentation, encompassing POCs, roadmaps, sequence diagrams, class hierarchies, and logical system views.

• Background in delivering projects for external or internal clients within a professional services or consulting context.

• Ability to decompose complex problems into structured, actionable steps and drive them to completion.

• Excellent client-facing written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Demonstrated capability to work effectively with distributed and cross-functional teams.

• Proven history of taking ownership, managing multiple priorities, and delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
