This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design, develop, manage, and provide support for Talend data integration solutions across various ministry systems, cloud services, analytics environments, and operational systems.
• Convert business and data requirements into technical designs, incorporating data mapping, transformation, and reconciliation logic.
• Create parameterized, reusable, and context-aware jobs suitable for development, testing, and production environments.
• Implement integration patterns that are scalable and performance-optimized for both batch and near-real-time data movement.
• Design and expose secure data services and APIs utilizing Azure API Management.
• Enforce data governance practices, which include metadata management, data classification, and lineage tracking.
• Design, develop, and conduct unit tests for Talend integration jobs, routes, and reusable components.
• Schedule, orchestrate, deploy, and monitor Talend jobs; track execution metrics, throughput, and failures.
• Provide operational support by diagnosing issues, troubleshooting problems, and resolving integration incidents and data-load failures within established service levels.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and integrations to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Utilize AI and automation tools for the development, testing, monitoring, documentation, code generation, optimization, and review of pipelines.
• Support the Digital Regulatory Assurance System program and potentially engage in additional enterprise data initiatives.
• Perform other responsibilities as required.
• Practical experience in developing data integration solutions using Talend Data Integration, Data Fabric, or Talend Studio.
• Proficient SQL skills.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience in designing ETL/ELT processes, data mappings, and transformation logic for enterprise data.
• Background in operating and supporting integration jobs in production, including scheduling, monitoring, and resolving incidents.
• Understanding of data governance, metadata management, data classification, and lineage tracking.
• Knowledge of privacy and regulatory compliance standards, such as POPA.
• Familiarity with role-based access controls, encryption, and data masking.
• Experience with Azure API Management.
• Capability to utilize AI-assisted tools for code generation, optimization, review, testing, monitoring, and documentation.
