Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Enhance and document prioritized initiatives alongside business teams by collecting requirements, needs, and dependencies.

• Design and sustain data pipelines utilizing ETL/ELT methodologies, overseeing the complete data ingestion, transformation, and delivery lifecycle.

• Construct and improve the data platform across the Raw, Trusted, and Refined layers, guaranteeing data quality, reliability, and scalability.

• Create data models and structures that incorporate business rules, structuring the semantic layer for analytical and strategic use.

• Develop and advance data storage and processing solutions, taking into account Data Lake/Lakehouse architectures, relational databases, and non-relational databases.

• Establish integrations between processed data and external tools or applications, including Google Apps Script.

• Design, prototype, and validate dashboards and data visualization solutions in collaboration with business teams.

• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to convert business requirements into efficient and sustainable data solutions.

• Operate independently, leveraging the diverse professional backgrounds within the team to enhance delivery impact.

• Participate in planning sessions, meetings, and ceremonies with clients and business teams.

• Investigate new technologies and contribute to efforts involving Artificial Intelligence applied to data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Data Engineering.

• Proficient in SQL and Python.

• Experience in Data Engineering within cloud environments, preferably GCP (Google Cloud Platform).

• Practical experience with BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Functions.

• Familiarity with Cloud Run, Artifact Registry, Docker, Dockerfile, and CI/CD.

• Proven experience in building and maintaining data pipelines, with knowledge of medallion architecture (Raw, Trusted, and Refined).

• Understanding of Data Lake/Lakehouse architectures, data modeling, and best practices for data storage, processing, and loading.

• Experience with data workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, Luigi, Kubeflow, or similar technologies.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and task management tools, preferably Jira.

• Strong communication abilities and the capability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Curiosity, adaptability, and a keen interest in new technologies, with a willingness to engage in initiatives related to Artificial Intelligence.

• Preferred: experience with data visualization tools and dashboard development.

• Preferred: experience in integrating data platforms with external applications.

• Preferred: experience working on projects involving Artificial Intelligence applied to data.
