This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +2 more countries.
β’ Create, develop, and sustain dependable software that adheres to technical specifications, prioritizing performance and availability.
β’ Evaluate requirements, assess designs, and estimate user stories in accordance with project methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
β’ Actively suggest code refactoring and optimization enhancements based on the best practices in software development and coding standards.
β’ Contribute to maintaining and elevating high-quality standards within the developer community by sharing insights, leading tech talks, and engaging in the internal promotion verification process.
β’ Keep abreast of contemporary technologies and pursue professional certifications.
β’ Mentor junior developers by providing training, assigning tasks, and overseeing their progress.
β’ Participate in a project within the insurance domain that offers risk management, insurance, reinsurance brokerage, and investment banking solutions.
β’ Over 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
β’ Extensive knowledge of MS SQL and Databricks in cloud settings, including DBA responsibilities centered on performance tuning and workflows.
β’ Advanced proficiency in T-SQL and Spark.
β’ Strong expertise in Azure Cloud.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of indexes, execution plans, query optimization, and Python scripting.
β’ In-depth familiarity with Delta Sharing, Unity Catalog, computing resources, and job management.
β’ Practical experience with data synchronization workflows.
β’ Upper-Intermediate proficiency in English.
