Senior Data Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Define and create tools, microservices, workflows, and distributed applications to enhance data mining and AI training.

• Develop and implement solutions focused on streaming, resilience, logging, security, authentication, workflow orchestration, and data management.

• Deploy artificial intelligence models.

• Design and construct Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows that facilitate hybrid and agentic patterns.

• Analyze and operationalize intricate distributed systems for optimal performance.

• Create data engineering solutions tailored for AI developers in the autonomous vehicle sector.

• Manage extensive volumes of autonomous vehicle data for video curation, behavioral search, and AI dataset administration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing high-performance, scalable software systems.

• MS degree with 6+ years, or BS (or equivalent experience) with 8+ years of relevant background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical discipline.

• Strong programming competencies in Python or Golang.

• Proficiency in Kubernetes, Helm, Hive, Parquet, SQL, and vector databases like Milvus.

• Robust architectural skills combined with a proactive, problem-solving approach.

• Experience in data mining and AI development.

• Background in building ETL pipelines and engaging with big data engines.

• Outstanding collaboration abilities to liaise with system software and AI expert teams.

• Willingness to learn and embrace technologies such as NVIDIA RAPIDS.

• Previous experience with large-scale real-time streaming, augmented reality, or data curation.

• Familiarity with Spark.

• Exposure to Large Language Models, Vision-Language Models, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAGs).

• Innovative contributions, including patents, publications, or open-source projects.
