Senior Data Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and establish scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures that align with both business and technology strategies.

• Serve as a technical reference and lead architect for Data Engineering and Analytics teams.

• Create architectural patterns, standards, best practices, and technology strategies for contemporary data platforms.

• Design and enhance Lakehouse and Cloud Data Platform architectures.

• Spearhead architecture initiatives that involve Databricks and/or Snowflake.

• Develop and implement data solutions within AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.

• Define data integration, ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, security, and consumption methodologies.

• Assess emerging technologies and propose solutions based on scalability, performance, cost, security, and business value.

• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Analytics teams, Product Managers, and business stakeholders.

• Offer technical mentorship and guidance to engineering teams while supporting architectural decision-making.

• Contribute to data architectures that are ready for AI, including solutions that utilize Agents and Agentic approaches for Data.

• Investigate and apply Agentic AI patterns, AI Agents, and SDD (Specification-Driven Development) in modern data engineering and architecture contexts.

• Ensure that architectural decisions adhere to enterprise standards for security, governance, quality, scalability, and maintainability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English – C1 level or higher, with excellent communication skills in international settings.

• Significant experience in Data Architecture and Data Engineering, ideally in complex enterprise environments.

• Strong expertise in Databricks or Snowflake.

• Comprehensive knowledge of at least one major cloud platform: AWS or Azure.

• Solid understanding of modern data architecture patterns, including Lakehouse, data platforms, data integration, data modeling, and data governance.

• Experience in designing end-to-end data solutions and converting business requirements into technical architecture.

• Strong knowledge of AI/Agentic methods for Data, including AI Agents, Agentic Architecture, or Agentic Data solutions.

• Familiarity or hands-on experience with SDD (Specification-Driven Development) and its application in software/data engineering.

• Strong skills in architectural decision-making and technical leadership.

• Capability to convey complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience with both Databricks and Snowflake (preferred).

• Experience with both AWS and Azure (preferred).

• Experience in implementing LLM-powered solutions, AI Agents, or Agentic workflows (preferred).

• Experience with Generative AI and Agentic AI frameworks and technologies (preferred).

• Experience in defining enterprise-level Data Governance, Security, and Data Quality strategies (preferred).

• Experience working with global teams and international clients (preferred).
