Senior Data Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and sustain analytical pipelines and reporting solutions utilizing BigQuery and MariaDB.

• Craft complex and efficient SQL queries to derive insights from extensive datasets.

• Utilize AI and machine learning capabilities to enhance analytics processes and provide more intelligent outputs.

• Employ AI-driven development tools such as Windsurf, Gemini, Claude, and Cursor.

• Create internal tools and automate processes using Python, FastAPI, and contemporary frameworks.

• Convey insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, transforming data into actionable strategies.

• Comprehend and document data architecture, lineage, and information flows across various systems.

• Work collaboratively on business process evaluation and design enhancements driven by data.

• Spot opportunities for more in-depth analysis, improved tools, and operational advancements.

• Manage the domain comprehensively, from formulating questions and constructing infrastructure to analysis and presentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience in data analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related discipline.

• Mastery of SQL, including joins, window functions, and common table expressions (CTEs).

• Preference for experience with BigQuery and MariaDB.

• Strong proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript for developing pipelines, internal tools, APIs, and automation.

• JavaScript expertise for creating data-oriented web applications and internal dashboards.

• In-depth understanding of data architecture, database structures, data flows, and schema evolution.

• Practical experience with AI/ML technologies, including large language models (LLMs), generative AI, and embeddings.

• Competence with AI-driven development tools like Windsurf, Gemini, Claude, Cursor, or comparable alternatives.

• A public GitHub profile showcasing examples of your work.

• Experience with FastAPI, business process design, operational analytics, exposure to diverse business departments, and familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes is advantageous.
