Senior Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and maintain scalable, thoroughly tested dbt data models that support analytics across commercial, marketing, health outcomes, and clinical operations sectors.

• Serve as a senior technical authority within analytics engineering, establishing standards for data modeling, testing, documentation, and code quality.

• Oversee the complete delivery of analytical projects, which includes defining requirements, managing dependencies, pinpointing critical paths and risks, and updating stakeholders on progress.

• Guide data scientists and analysts in data modeling techniques while fostering a culture of best practices, code reviews, and ongoing learning.

• Collaborate with clinical, commercial, and product teams to convert intricate domain requirements into robust and well-documented data models.

• Assess, experiment with, and advocate for AI-powered analytics tools, influencing Numan's strategic approach to emerging technologies.

• Ensure data quality, reliability, and governance throughout the transformation layer, actively monitoring consumption and addressing issues as they arise.

• Report to the Head of Data Engineering and work in partnership with data scientists, analysts, and various stakeholders within the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or business intelligence roles.

• Demonstrated history of managing end-to-end data model design across various business domains, ideally covering at least two areas such as commercial, marketing, health outcomes, or clinical/operational analytics.

• Strong skills in stakeholder management, including the ability to translate complex technical ideas for non-technical individuals.

• Experience in establishing technical standards and delivering high-quality outcomes within a compact, high-performing data team.

• Self-driven and practical, prioritizing impactful solutions over unnecessary complexity.

• Genuine interest in AI and emerging analytics technologies.

• Expert-level proficiency in SQL, encompassing window functions, CTEs, advanced aggregations, and cloud warehouse-specific optimizations.

• Extensive knowledge of dbt, including models, macros, tests, packages, documentation, exposures, and CI/CD practices.
