Senior Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, well-tested dbt data models that support analytics across commercial, marketing, health outcomes, and clinical operations sectors.

• Serve as a senior technical authority within analytics engineering, establishing standards for data modeling, testing, documentation, and code quality.

• Lead comprehensive analytical project delivery, encompassing requirement scoping, managing dependencies, identifying critical paths and risks, and effectively communicating progress to stakeholders.

• Mentor data scientists and analysts in data modeling, fostering a culture of best practices, code reviews, and continuous learning.

• Collaborate with clinical, commercial, and product teams to convert complex domain requirements into robust and well-documented data models.

• Assess, trial, and advocate for AI-driven analytics tools while influencing Numan’s strategic direction concerning emerging technologies.

• Ensure data quality, reliability, and governance across the transformation layer; actively monitor consumption and address issues proactively.

• Report to the Head of Data Engineering and work closely with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or business intelligence roles.

• Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end data model design across several business domains, ideally including at least two of commercial, marketing, health outcomes, or clinical/operational analytics.

• Strong skills in stakeholder management and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Experience in establishing technical standards and delivering high-quality work within a small, high-performing data team.

• Self-motivated and practical, favoring impactful solutions over unnecessary complexity.

• A genuine interest in AI and emerging analytics technologies.

• Expert-level SQL skills, including proficiency with window functions, CTEs, advanced aggregations, and cloud warehouse-specific optimization.

• In-depth knowledge of dbt, including models, macros, tests, packages, documentation, exposures, and CI/CD practices.
