Senior Data Analytics, Data Modelling Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Analyze intricate real-world datasets and develop governed entity models based on entities, properties, relationships, cardinality, grain, and underlying data structures.

• Convert business requirements and real-world use cases into precise data requirements and governed data models.

• Represent the demand side of the data platform, ensuring that platform capabilities meet authentic business needs and analytical use cases.

• Conduct data profiling, data mapping, data quality assessments, and gap analyses.

• Identify data issues, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.

• Collaborate with data governance teams on aspects such as data ownership, business definitions, metadata, lineage, quality standards, and governance processes.

• Ensure that models conform to established standards.

• Partner with engineering teams to translate conceptual and business requirements into technically feasible solutions.

• Utilize command-line tools and YAML-based configuration management.

• Contribute to the advancement of the organization’s data platform and modeling standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in Data Analytics or Data Engineering.

• Demonstrated expertise in data modeling, data governance, and the translation of business requirements into governed entity models.

• Familiarity with data profiling, mapping, quality assessment, and gap analysis.

• Strong comprehension of entity relationships, cardinality, grain, and data structures.

• Capability to transform real datasets into governed entity model instances.

• Experience working with data governance teams on data ownership, definitions, metadata, lineage, quality standards, and governance processes.

• Background in the Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences domain with knowledge of business processes and data requirements.

• Proficiency with command-line tools and YAML for configuration management.

• Experience with data governance platforms such as Collibra is a plus.
