This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Construct and sustain Python-driven analyses, models, and data pipelines that aid in fraud decision-making, vendor assessment, and internal risk evaluation.
• Design and execute statistical experiments, such as A/B tests, holdout studies, and evaluations of vendor performance.
• Create and refine internal fraud risk models utilizing transaction and vendor data.
• Take ownership of model calibration, validation, and continuous performance monitoring.
• Leverage AI tools, including LLMs, code generation, and agentic workflows, to enhance analytical processes.
• Determine how AI can be integrated into analytical workflows and pinpoint manual tasks suitable for automation.
• Evaluate vendor performance, assess score calibration, measure lift across various segments, and guide routing decisions and contract negotiations.
• Construct and manage dashboards and reports using Looker and Hex.
• Develop SQL models and data views.
• Oversee fraud and operations metrics, investigate anomalies, and escalate findings along with recommended actions.
• Collaborate with Risk Operations, management, Engineering, Payments, and Customer Experience to convert analysis into actionable insights.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in fraud analytics, risk management, fintech, or a quantitatively intensive analytical role.
• Proficient in Python; experienced with libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels, or their equivalents.
• Strong SQL skills; capable of managing complex data queries, understanding warehouse structures, and constructing views and models.
• Solid foundation in statistics, including valid experimentation, significance testing, model calibration, and the ability to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Practical experience in independently building, training, and validating classification models.
• Knowledge of model evaluation techniques and managing class imbalance.
• Ability to translate model outcomes into strategic business decisions.
• Genuine interest and daily experience utilizing LLMs and code generation.
• Capable of designing AI-assisted workflows and identifying chances to replace manual tasks with AI solutions.
• Comfortable working in uncertain environments and defining problems clearly.
• Familiarity with fraud vendors such as Forter, Riskified, or Sardine is advantageous.
• Experience with Looker or similar business intelligence tools is a plus.
