Senior Data Analyst, Data Quality & Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Establish and execute data quality assessments and reconciliation processes for the curated data layer.

• Assess results against validated Finance benchmarks and completed accounting periods.

• Confirm the accuracy of migrated and redirected reports and dashboards compared to previous legacy-source outputs.

• Conduct parallel-run analyses during the transition and ensure that both old and new outputs align within the agreed-upon tolerances.

• Analyze and address data quality challenges and reconciliation discrepancies.

• Collaborate with Data Engineering to pinpoint and document underlying causes.

• Develop and sustain data quality dashboards and reports utilizing Power BI or another comparable BI tool.

• Maintain visibility of quality status and known discrepancies for Finance and project stakeholders.

• Collaborate with Finance and business stakeholders to outline acceptance criteria and quality benchmarks.

• Generate reconciliation outcomes, parallel-run comparisons, and sign-off packages during delivery milestones.

• Document data quality standards and recognized issues for the client's team to oversee after the handoff.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a data analyst or BI analyst.

• Proficient in SQL for data querying, validation, and reconciliation.

• Practical experience in creating or validating reports and dashboards in Power BI or a similar enterprise BI tool.

• Familiarity with data quality or reconciliation frameworks or methodologies, such as dbt tests, Great Expectations, or structured manual reconciliation.

• Background in financial/accounting data, FP&A, or Mortgage, including constraints related to closed-period reconciliation.

• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to document data quality findings clearly.

• Proficient in English (B2 level).

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake.

• Nice to have: Experience in financial/GL reporting domains, including chart of accounts, dimensions, and the closing process.

• Nice to have: Experience in validating report or dashboard migrations from a legacy system to a new platform.
