Senior Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Finance and Payments teams to develop, enhance, and sustain metrics, models, and dashboards for financial reporting.

• Manage comprehensive analysis, starting from understanding business inquiries to SQL/dbt modeling, Looker dashboard creation, and communicating with stakeholders.

• Create and improve Looker dashboards for financial planning, revenue analysis, cost insights, and transaction-level reporting.

• Maintain and advance core financial data models within dbt.

• Address data quality issues and verify calculations.

• Ensure reliable and reconciled datasets for Finance and Payments.

• Convert vague business requirements into precise technical solutions.

• Assist in modernizing data architecture through modeling, documentation, QA, and performance optimization.

• Work alongside Product, Support, and Marketing to address overlapping financial data needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst or BI Analyst in a fast-paced or intricate product setting.

• Strong practical experience with SQL, dbt, and Looker.

• Capability to write complex queries, model data, and create insightful dashboards.

• Exceptional communication skills to clarify technical subjects and financial logic to non-technical audiences.

• Ability to take initiative and ownership, work autonomously, and lead projects from conception to execution.

• Meticulous attention to detail, particularly concerning reconciliation, financial logic, metric definitions, and QA.

• Experience collaborating with Finance stakeholders, including FP&A, Accounting, Payments, and Revenue Ops.

• Familiarity with GitHub/version control.

• Must currently reside and work in Canada.

• Must be eligible to work in Canada without employer sponsorship.
