Senior Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Acquire and evaluate data using sophisticated computerized models and algorithms to enhance strategic decision-making and improve business results

• Derive data trends through advanced algorithms to uncover actionable insights

• Create graphs, charts, and visual representations to convey complex mathematical conclusions

• Share analytical results with managers and stakeholders to inform adjustments in business models and future strategies

• Utilize comprehensive knowledge of VHA systems and files, including CDW, VistA, VSSC, RAMP, PTF (MedSAS), MCA, PCMM, NPCD, and VETSNET

• Gather, cleanse, and verify large datasets from various VA sources

• Convert raw data into insightful reports that promote healthcare transformation objectives

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to synchronize data strategies with program goals

• Assist in predictive modeling and trend analysis to enhance veteran healthcare delivery

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Data Science, Statistics, Health Informatics, or a relevant field

• At least 8 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within a healthcare or federal context

• Proficient in statistical software and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SAS)

• Extensive experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik

• Proven ability to interpret complex datasets and effectively communicate findings to non-technical audiences

• Familiarity with VHA systems and data repositories, including CDW and VistA

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship, now or in the future

• Must be capable of obtaining and retaining the necessary federal public trust clearance for this position

• Preferred: Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Public Health, or a related field

• Preferred: Experience in supporting federal healthcare programs, particularly within the Department of Veterans Affairs

• Preferred: Understanding of healthcare data standards and compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH)

• Preferred: Experience with machine learning models and predictive analytics in healthcare environments

• Preferred: Active Public Trust clearance

• Preferred: Awareness of Senator Elizabeth Dole Act Sections 105 and 107
