Senior Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of large and complex data and analytics projects from initial scoping to final delivery.

• Manage and oversee data products catering to both external and internal stakeholders.

• Utilize advanced SQL techniques to enhance data transformation, reliability, and performance of datasets and data products.

• Ensure data products remain accurate and relevant as source data, schemas, and products evolve over time.

• Convert intricate analyses into straightforward recommendations for stakeholders and leadership.

• Investigate underlying causes when metrics show unexpected fluctuations.

• Facilitate data contributions to cross-functional initiatives involving product, marketing, engineering, and leadership teams.

• Provide mentorship to junior analysts through work reviews, sharing best practices, and fostering technical and analytical skill development.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, analytics, business analysis, or reporting roles.

• Proven ability to independently manage projects from start to finish.

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, business, or technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Proficient in SQL, including complex joins, aggregation, window functions, and the ability to query and shape large structured datasets.

• Experience in managing production SQL/database objects using Git/GitHub, including pull requests, peer reviews, testing, and CI/CD workflows.

• Practical experience with maintaining and managing near real-time data products in tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Mode, or Databricks.

• A strong drive to tackle challenging problems and thoroughly validate work prior to release.
