Senior Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the CIS cybersecurity suite, which encompasses MDR, MXDR, MDBR/MDBR+, Albert Network Monitoring, CIS Hardened Images, CIS SecureSuite, as well as networking and cloud security.

• Provide comprehensive engineering support in both pre-sales and post-sales phases, including technical discovery, solution design, demonstrations, proofs of concept, onboarding, deployment guidance, escalation management, and issue resolution.

• Oversee the technical onboarding process for assigned accounts, ensuring a swift realization of value while safeguarding revenue recognition and enhancing customer satisfaction.

• Collaborate with CIS Services Account Executives and Senior Account Executives throughout the government sales cycle, covering procurement, security assessments, and technical evaluations.

• Operate within the CSE/TAM framework alongside Technical Account Management to assist customers from the pre-sales stage through onboarding, adoption, and renewal.

• Interact with customers and internal stakeholders via phone, video, and potentially face-to-face meetings.

• Mentor and enhance the skills of solutions engineers, expanding team expertise in managed security services.

• Create enablement materials, runbooks, demo environments, and documentation of best practices.

• Deliver professional presentations and technical demonstrations through phone, web applications, and both live and virtual conferences.

• Compile customer feedback to guide Product Management priorities and support executive decision-making.

• Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upgrades; assist the sales team in closing deals and developing use cases, case studies, and testimonials.

• Maintain records of account contacts, opportunities, and support activities within Salesforce.

• Represent CIS and present at conferences or product meetings when required.

• Execute other assigned tasks and responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in sales engineering, solutions engineering, or technical account management within the cybersecurity domain, demonstrating both pre-sales and post-sales duties.

• Profound understanding of managed security services, including MDR, EDR/XDR/MXDR, NDR/IDS, and DNS-layer security.

• Direct experience with CrowdStrike Falcon and/or Sophos platforms.

• Strong foundation in network engineering principles, covering TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, and network sensor/IDS deployment.

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including concepts related to hardened/secured images.

• Knowledge of U.S. state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) government environments, procurement processes, and public-sector sales cycles.

• Experience in mentoring, training, or technically leading fellow engineers.

• Proactive, customer-centric communication approach with a readiness to engage via phone and resolve issues thoroughly.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, including delivering technical demonstrations remotely through platforms like Microsoft Teams or similar applications.

• Proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office suite.

• Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

• Willingness to travel as necessary.

• Must have authorization to work in the United States.

• Plus: Experience supporting U.S. SLTT agencies, nonprofits, or members of MS-ISAC/EI-ISAC.

• Plus: Relevant security and technical certifications, such as Security+, CISSP, GIAC, CrowdStrike CCFA/CCFH, Sophos certifications, or cloud certifications.

• Plus: Background in SOC workflows, incident escalation, and vulnerability management.

• Plus: Proficiency with MS Windows, Windows Server, Linux, VMware vSphere and Workstation, along with scripting skills.
