Senior Cybersecurity, Financial Compliance SME

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a senior expert in cybersecurity and financial compliance for the Vantage system.

• Analyze and implement NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5, along with DoD and Army cybersecurity requirements, Financial Management overlays, and FIAR mandates.

• Evaluate the security and compliance standing of Vantage by examining controls, implementation evidence, processes, and system documentation.

• Detect control weaknesses and compliance deficiencies, then formulate actionable remediation plans.

• Oversee the implementation, inheritance, assessment, and ongoing monitoring of NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5 controls.

• Customize technical and procedural controls to align with the Vantage environment and Financial Management objectives.

• Create, sustain, and enhance security policies, SOPs, TTPs, control implementation guidelines, and governance documentation.

• Draft policy documents and TTPs to support ongoing compliance and readiness for audits.

• Lead the development, collection, validation, and management of security and financial audit evidence and compliance documentation.

• Ensure that all documentation is comprehensive, traceable, up-to-date, and prepared for audits.

• Advocate for and uphold the Vantage compliance posture during cybersecurity evaluations, control validations, financial audits, FIAR initiatives, and formal reviews.

• Address findings, coordinate corrective measures, and manage remediation until completion.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.

• Must be available to work West Coast hours.

• Active Interim Secret or higher security clearance is required.

• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.

• Over 10 years of experience in Cybersecurity / Risk Management Framework (RMF) is essential.

• Practical experience with NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5 security and privacy controls relevant to DoD and Army operational settings.

• Expertise in Financial Management overlays and a thorough understanding of Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) requirements applicable to enterprise software and data systems.

• Extensive experience in preparing and managing compliance artifacts, as well as defending system posture during formal security assessments and financial audits.

• Expert-level proficiency in Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Services (eMASS), including System Registration, Control Tracking, Vulnerability Management, and Package Generation.

• Outstanding proficiency in drafting security policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) specifically for the Vantage system.

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification is required.

• Possession of an active DoD Secret security clearance is necessary.

• Capability to work independently with minimal guidance.

• High level of self-sufficiency and the ability to pinpoint compliance gaps, devise solutions, and execute them to completion with little supervision.
