This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Create, enhance, and sustain internal web applications that support GSS Security.
• Implement new functionalities utilizing ASP.NET MVC, C#, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and SQL Server.
• Design and improve SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects for extensive enterprise datasets.
• Resolve intricate issues across application code, SQL Server, and production environments.
• Streamline manual compliance processes through software solutions.
• Collaborate with system stakeholders to convert operational needs into technical solutions.
• Engage in code reviews, testing, deployments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Update and modernize existing applications while introducing new functionalities.
• Document technical designs, database modifications, and application capabilities.
• Operate across the complete application stack, including databases, backend services, web applications, and production troubleshooting.
• Function as an individual contributor within an agile development team.
• Collaborate with GSS Center of Excellence personnel and Digital Technology partners.
• Regularly align tasks within a DevOps framework.
• Generally requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience is necessary.
• 5 years of direct experience in Software Engineering is essential.
• An active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance is required before the start date.
• Current Secret security clearance is mandatory on day one.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Experience in designing SQL Server stored procedures, views, functions, indexes, and optimizing queries.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps, including Azure DevOps, Git, Pull Requests, CI/CD, and work item management.
• Proficiency in C#, SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, or ASP.NET MVC.
• Experience with ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, SQL Server, Stored Procedures, REST APIs, JSON, jQuery, Bootstrap, DataTables, IIS, Azure DevOps, and Git.
• Must be a resident and work from one of the 50 U.S. states, excluding U.S. territories.
• Preferred: experience with Agile development methodologies including Scrum, automated testing, and continuous integration.
• Preferred: experience in developing applications that support cybersecurity, compliance, governance, or enterprise operations.
• Preferred: knowledge of layered, event-tier, microkernel, or other software architectural frameworks.
• Preferred: experience in implementing compliance regulations such as DFARS, DAAPM, JASIG, ICD, FAA, HIPAA, NIST 800-53, or other governmental requirements.
