This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Safeguard customers and Kyndryl environments through cybersecurity operations, incident response, digital forensics, threat hunting, detection engineering, and security investigations.
• Take ownership of investigations from the initial alert triage to the stages of investigation, containment, remediation, and recovery.
• Analyze and respond to cyber threats within intricate enterprise environments.
• Utilize SIEM platforms, endpoint detection capabilities, and security telemetry to identify, assess, and react to threats.
• Engage in proactive threat hunting efforts.
• Create, fine-tune, and enhance detections and security queries.
• Conduct thorough investigations into suspicious activities and security incidents.
• Implement investigative techniques and threat intelligence to pinpoint indicators of compromise and emerging threats.
• Work collaboratively with security professionals throughout the organization.
• Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, threat hunting, or cyber defense roles.
• Practical experience managing security incidents throughout the entire investigation lifecycle, from alert triage to remediation and resolution.
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms like Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar, Elastic, LogRhythm, or other similar technologies.
• Strong investigative and analytical abilities for recognizing, analyzing, and reacting to complex cyber threats.
• Experience in detection engineering, including the creation, tuning, and optimization of detections and security analytics.
• Experience in conducting proactive threat hunting and utilizing threat intelligence to identify indicators of compromise (IOCs).
• Understanding of digital forensics techniques and experience in investigating endpoint and/or network-based security incidents.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Palo Alto technologies, especially XDR, is beneficial but not mandatory.
