This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Utilize Claude Code, GitLab Duo, and various coding agents for tasks such as planning, implementation, refactoring, testing, reviews, and documentation.
• Develop and sustain the team's agent harness, encompassing AGENTS.md conventions, skills, slash commands, hooks, subagent definitions, and CI checks.
• Deliver agents and multi-step workflows for activities like account research, success planning, scoping, status reporting, and customer onboarding.
• Construct MCP servers and connectors for GitLab, Salesforce, Gainsight, Kantata, Thought Industries, Gong, Snowflake, and other enterprise platforms.
• Implement evaluations, tracing, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints to ensure agents are measurable, auditable, and secure.
• Advance the CX Application Platform gateway, AWS infrastructure, Terraform configurations, application scaffolding, and deployment pathways.
• Take ownership of applications including PS Compass, Congregate, GitLab University, and their integrations.
• Release production-level Python and TypeScript via GitLab CI/CD, incorporating tests, observability, security reviews, and runbooks.
• Collaborate with teams in Customer Success, Digital Success, Professional Services, Education Services, and Training for prototyping.
• Assist CX team members in deploying applications to production and transforming field insights into reusable implementations and enablement.
• Contribute to GitLab's upstream projects and provide product feedback to the Product and Engineering teams.
• Mentor both engineers and non-engineers in agentic development.
• Proven experience in building and managing production software while owning multi-quarter projects from concept to deployment.
• Daily, practical use of coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, GitLab Duo, or similar tools in a production environment.
• Expertise in constructing with large language models beyond chat functionalities, including tool utilization, MCP servers, agent loops, context and retrieval design, prompt and workflow design, and evaluations.
• Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.
• TypeScript capabilities, particularly with libraries such as Vue or React.
• Knowledge in API design, authentication, authorization, and secure management of customer and business data.
• Hands-on familiarity with AWS ECS, RDS, Lambda, Terraform, Docker, and applications operating behind SSO systems like Okta.
• Experience in integrating enterprise systems via REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Proficient with Git, including merge requests and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to translate workflows from non-engineering stakeholders into technical plans.
• Experience in drafting asynchronous design documents, decision records, and enablement resources.
