This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Design and sustain features within OneKS, CAPONE, and the OpenNebula CSI integration.
• Diagnose and resolve issues pertaining to Kubernetes and RKE2 clusters, covering aspects such as networking, storage, upgrades, and multi-layer infrastructure challenges.
• Create and uphold Kubernetes controllers, operators, and Cluster API integrations utilizing Go.
• Assess and incorporate new solutions operating on Kubernetes, including platforms and workloads related to AI.
• Contribute to enhancements and address issues within the Terraform Provider and OpenNebula appliances.
• Automate and refine cluster lifecycle management and platform integrations through Helm, Cluster API, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Produce maintainable code, comprehensive tests, and technical documentation.
• Work closely with engineers throughout the OpenNebula ecosystem.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
• Practical professional experience in administering and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters in production or similarly complex settings.
• Proven experience in software development using Go.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes cluster lifecycle management, ideally including Cluster API and RKE2.
• Experience collaborating on software projects utilizing modern development workflows, version control, testing, and technical documentation.
• Strong practical experience with Kubernetes, including troubleshooting, networking, and storage.
• Proficient in Go development; experience in creating Kubernetes controllers or operators is highly advantageous.
• Solid understanding of Linux and container technologies.
• Experience with Helm and Cluster API.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as KVM/QEMU.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, Prometheus, CSI, and integrations with Kubernetes cloud providers.
• Experience with RKE2, Ruby, AI workloads on Kubernetes, or the NVIDIA Kubernetes ecosystem is an added benefit.
• Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency (B2 or higher) is mandatory.
