Senior Credit & Collections Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Adhere to established protocols and engage with relevant groups to retrieve overdue insurance premiums and/or outstanding health insurance claims.

• Investigate the legitimacy of overdue and/or contested debts.

• Create demand letters.

• Compile reports that outline the status of credit and collection efforts for management assessment.

• Execute intricate collection tasks related to overdue health insurance premiums and/or outstanding health insurance claims.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• At least 2 years of experience in commercial debt collection.

• Alternatively, any combination of education and experience that provides a comparable background.

• Familiarity with NextGen and Waystar systems.

• Experience in supporting Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Insurance accounts.

• Established expertise in commercial insurance collections, claims follow-up, and resolving denials.

• Understanding of healthcare revenue cycle management and payer reimbursement processes.

• Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance from the job location(s), unless accommodations are provided as required by law.

• Certain patient/member-facing positions necessitate vaccination against COVID-19 and Influenza.
