This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Oversee the collections process for customer accounts, which includes contacting clients regarding overdue balances and addressing payment issues.
• Track aging reports and work to minimize outstanding accounts receivable through diligent follow-up and analysis.
• Utilize HighRadius and internal systems to handle collections activities, customer communications, payment monitoring, disputes, and account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with the Billing, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance teams to address customer issues and billing discrepancies.
• Assess and reconcile customer accounts, covering unapplied payments, credits, disputes, and short payments.
• Aid in reducing bad debt by identifying and escalating accounts at high risk.
• Keep precise documentation of customer interactions, payment commitments, and updates on account statuses.
• Generate and share aging analyses, collections reports, bad debt summaries, and account status updates with leadership.
• Assist in month-end collections and accounts receivable reporting activities.
• Deliver professional, customer-centered communication while ensuring prompt payment resolutions.
• Escalate priority accounts, bankruptcy risks, legal issues, and collection challenges to management.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• Proven experience in full-cycle collections and accounts receivable is essential.
• Familiarity with HighRadius, NetSuite, Salesforce, or other ERP/collections platforms is preferred.
• Strong comprehension of aging reports, bad debt management, cash application, account reconciliation, and collections best practices.
• Proficiency in analyzing customer accounts to identify reasons for delinquency or payment discrepancies.
• Excellent Excel and reporting skills, including the analysis of extensive financial datasets.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Capability to handle challenging customer conversations professionally.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong ability to follow through.
• Proficiency in multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate across different functions and build interdepartmental relationships.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
