This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Underwrite potential commercial loans
• Process construction draw requests
• Assist in the Annual Term Loan Review process
• Draft credit memorandums along with necessary documentation for business loan approval
• Evaluate borrower and guarantor documentation to ensure compliance with loan approval and Loan Policy
• Conduct financial document analysis using trend analysis, ratio analysis, cash flow analysis, industry averages, and macro/industry trends
• Assess pledged collateral for adherence to internal loan policies and industry best practices
• Provide written summaries of insights derived from financial document analysis of prospective borrowers and guarantors
• Collaborate closely with the Senior Credit Officer on the participated loan portfolio
• Work with the Senior Credit Officer to enhance loan policies and procedures
• Create or improve reports and tracking systems to monitor the commercial loan portfolio
• Supervise the Annual Term Loan Review completion and monitor loan covenants
• Partner with Loan Officers to gather necessary financial reporting from current borrowers
• Mentor and assist the Junior Credit Analyst
• Collaborate with team members to achieve both short-term goals and long-term objectives
• Maintain professional communication with both internal and external stakeholders
• Contribute to team initiatives, projects, and process improvements
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is strongly preferred
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in commercial banking
• At least five (5) years of direct experience in credit analysis and commercial underwriting
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with third-party commercial appraisal reports, Environmental Phase I reports, Title Insurance Commitments and Policies, and insurance documentation
• Up-to-date knowledge of state and federal regulations related to Member Business Lending
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong customer service abilities
• Proven skills in building collaborative relationships within the organization
• Traits of decisiveness, integrity, flexibility, and critical thinking
• Capacity to promote efficiencies and identify opportunities that enhance automation
• Consistent and punctual attendance
• Completion of a formal commercial credit analysis training program from ABA, Moody’s, or RMA is preferred, including a Credit Risk Certification designation or similar
• Experience with the nCino Loan Origination System is preferred
• Background in community banking or credit unions is preferred
