Senior Credit Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations into credit and financial data for both prospective and current clients.

• Evaluate business and personal financial statements, tax documents, cash flow analyses, collateral evidence, and repayment sources for new, renewed, and existing commercial loans.

• Analyze complex credit relationships independently and formulate recommendations with minimal oversight.

• Create spreadsheets, credit approval packages, credit proposals, financial summaries, and written assessments for loan decision-makers.

• Collaborate with lending teams to enhance credit risk evaluation and portfolio management.

• Assist the Team Leader and act as a backup when necessary.

• Provide training, mentoring, and support for the development of new team members.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, security protocols, and applicable government regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Law, Computer Science, or a related discipline (Required).

• An equivalent mixture of education and experience may be acceptable in place of a degree.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Credit Analyst (Required).

• Preference for SBA credit analysis experience.

• Strong proficiency in analyzing intricate financial statements, tax returns, credit data, and cash flow performance.

• Extensive knowledge of credit investigations, collateral requirements, and commercial lending principles.

• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities with a solid grasp of accounting principles.

• Capability to manage a high workload accurately in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

• Ability to effectively adapt to changing priorities and interruptions.

• Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Familiarity with federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to commercial lending.

• Proficient in Excel, Word, and other business and lending software.
