Senior Coverage Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations, analyses, and determine insurance coverage for intricate first-party and third-party claims.

• Act as a coverage authority and offer insights on complex coverage matters.

• Assess legal opinions and work in collaboration with defense counsel, coverage counsel, claims professionals, and business partners.

• Evaluate, negotiate, and resolve complex represented and/or litigation claims.

• Develop negotiation and litigation strategies in conjunction with defense counsel.

• Set and modify reserves; document the rationale and summary notes for claims.

• Review medical bills and records to assess claims settlement.

• Facilitate team training sessions.

• Oversee, investigate, and address complex communications, concerns, conflicts, or issues.

• Maintain documentation of claim files with notes, evaluations, and decision-making processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (4 years) preferred.

• A comparable mix of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of the educational requirement.

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

• Proficient analytical skills.

• Strong legal reasoning abilities.

• Capability to interpret complex insurance contracts and legal opinions.

• Familiarity with insurance policy language, legal principles, and claims litigation.

• Ability to secure necessary adjuster and/or appraiser license(s) within 60 days of hire, if applicable.

• Must pass an additional background check with the Department of Labor if licensing is required.

• Background investigation is mandatory.

• Must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions when working from home.
