Senior Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate, negotiate, and draft commercial contracts and agreements with technology firms, service providers, vendors, and various partners.

• Spearhead negotiations and the ongoing management of strategic commercial alliances while structuring complex B2B agreements.

• Provide guidance to cross-functional teams regarding partnership structuring, compliance, and dispute resolution.

• Offer product counseling by assessing initiatives, designs, features, and disclosures for compliance with consumer protection laws.

• Oversee and manage Misfits Market’s privacy program and respond to changing regulatory requirements.

• Counsel colleagues on matters related to intellectual property, advertising, food safety, regulatory compliance, and other legal issues.

• Identify and assess business and legal risks, developing innovative strategies for their mitigation.

• Assist with corporate governance matters and strategic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity, and other financing activities.

• Report directly to the General Counsel.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess 6-12 years of pertinent experience, ideally with a blend of law firm and in-house experience within a fast-paced technology, food, or consumer goods environment.

• Highly organized, resourceful, and capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting.

• Able to comprehend business needs and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to devise creative solutions, with a solid understanding of the relationship between legal and business risks.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.

• Capable of clearly and effectively communicating with non-legal colleagues, and working both collaboratively and independently.

• Strong skills in drafting and negotiating general commercial contracts, with meticulous attention to detail.

• Proven experience utilizing legal AI tools to enhance research, contract review, and other legal workflows.

• Enthusiastic about adopting new technologies to boost efficiency.

• Strong motivation to understand the business and a willingness to learn new areas of law relevant to Misfits Market’s operations.
