This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as the primary daily client liaison for cost management services.
• Assist in large-scale, mission-critical data center and digital infrastructure projects across various U.S. markets.
• Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Create and present final cost plans while developing estimates through design milestones.
• Evaluate design services and general contractor cost estimates.
• Reconcile changes and verify the accuracy of contractor cost data.
• Collect project status information and prepare updates on cost estimates.
• Draft written comments and executive summaries regarding contractor submissions.
• Coordinate cost information from NPA, subcontractors, suppliers, and architects/engineers.
• Influence engineering priorities based on cost implications.
• Oversee cost checks, valuations, auditing, and validation processes.
• Manage post-contract cost variances, change control, contingencies, commitments, and financial impacts.
• Prepare funding data presentations and facilitate value engineering sessions.
• Provide commercial insights for design optioneering and value engineering.
• Review pricing from contractors and subcontractors, leading negotiations from the client’s side.
• Generate monthly cost reports and negotiate final accounts.
• Compile built cost estimate records for benchmarking purposes.
• Lead, coach, and mentor team members.
• Monitor commission margins, fees, resource forecasts, and financial reports using internal software.
• Implement internal business management systems, delivery methodologies, and tools.
• Adhere to relevant SOX control responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5–7 years of pertinent experience in a cost management role within the construction industry.
• Proven experience leading cost management on medium to large construction projects with medium to high complexity.
• Preferred experience in mission-critical, data center, advanced technology, industrial, power, or major infrastructure settings.
• Experience in supporting multi-phase campus developments, large-scale capital programs, or highly technical facilities is preferred.
• Prior experience in construction consultancy is strongly preferred.
• RICS accreditation or progress towards it is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of technical aspects of the construction industry, including procurement methods, value management, and value engineering.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Willingness to travel and provide onsite project support, typically 25–50% of the time based on project demands.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Experience in client-facing roles.
• Proficient in using internal software and business management systems.
• Ability to comply with applicable SOX controls.
