This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Develop acquisition strategies both independently and collaboratively with business unit leaders.
• Identify and evaluate acquisition targets, assessing their strategic and financial compatibility.
• Oversee due diligence workstreams and liaise with Finance, Legal, and Operations teams from the term sheet phase to closing.
• Create investment recommendation documents for review by senior leadership.
• Direct post-acquisition integration efforts and monitor synergy realization.
• Handle top-of-funnel business development activities, including lead sourcing, qualification, and relationship cultivation.
• Establish and sustain an enterprise prospect pipeline through outreach, referrals, research, and CRM systems.
• Act as the primary initial contact for potential partners.
• Assist in long-term strategic planning in collaboration with business unit and corporate leaders.
• Manage targeted strategy projects from initial scoping through to execution.
• Utilize company-provided tools, systems, and AI technologies in daily operations.
• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline (mandatory); an MBA is advantageous.
• Over 10 years of professional experience.
• More than 5 years in M&A, partnerships, or business development roles.
• Strong preference for experience in the Property and Casualty Insurance sector; experience in home services, utilities, or B2B SaaS is also valued.
• Proven track record in strategically and financially assessing acquisition opportunities.
• Experience in managing the daily execution of transactions.
• Demonstrated history of delivering results on critical initiatives over a period of 12+ months.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, characterized by clarity, conciseness, and persuasiveness.
• Comfortable presenting recommendations to senior management.
• Ability to navigate uncertainty and operate with considerable autonomy in a dynamic environment.
• Preferred experience in building enterprise business development pipelines and fostering early-stage relationships.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth, or startup setting is preferred.
