Senior Corporate Counsel – Motion

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive legal support for project business operations, encompassing EPC contracts from the tender phase through negotiation, execution, dispute resolution, and completion.

• Provide advice and collaborate with stakeholders in commercial, sales, finance, HR, EHS, and supply chain departments.

• Ensure compliance and safeguard the interests of the company.

• Oversee legal risks concerning competition law, data privacy (GDPR), product liability, employment, investigations, claims, and litigation assistance.

• Collaborate with global legal teams and subject matter experts.

• Contribute to integrity initiatives and participate in broader legal projects.

• Assist with investigations and ensure adherence to policies.

• Engage in regional and global Legal & Integrity teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited U.S. law school.

• Active admission to the bar.

• A minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).

• Significant exposure to international legal, commercial, and regulatory issues.

• Proficiency in contract law and negotiation, including EPC/project contracts, distribution agreements, government contracts, intellectual property, and digital law (SaaS, cybersecurity, AI, data privacy).

• Strong organizational and analytical abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure, assessing risks, and providing practical solutions in complex settings.

• A proactive, adaptable, and collaborative approach, with experience in cross-country and multicultural environments.

• Ability to influence stakeholders and cultivate strong relationships.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing to strategic legal initiatives and compliance frameworks.

• Capacity to manage multiple priorities, including EPC project tasks, across various business areas/divisions/support assignments.

• Must possess work authorization allowing employment with ABB in the United States.
