This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Achieve sales revenue goals and enhance market share for CoreValve and associated products within the designated territory.
• Promote, sell, service, and facilitate the safe adoption of Medtronic CoreValve products.
• Oversee territory strategy, account development, sales targets, expenses, and forecasting.
• Provide support to TAVR implanting centers, including valve loading and technical assistance during procedures.
• Educate physicians, implanting teams, hospitals, and customers on TAVR indications and the application of products.
• Deliver technical and clinical support concerning imaging modalities, EKG, blood pressure, waveforms, CT reconstruction, and ancillary procedural solutions.
• Stay informed on clinical, technical, product, competitive, and industry knowledge.
• Generate new business, expand current accounts, counter competitor messaging, and identify sales opportunities.
• Represent Medtronic at conferences, training sessions, conventions, and customer education meetings.
• Assist with case scheduling, physician training, case observations, and pre-case planning.
• Address customer inquiries and complaints while reporting device issues to quality assurance.
• Maintain records related to accounts, territories, inventory, shipments, usage, returns, billing, and expenses.
• Support heart teams with products and clinical literature.
• Ensure hospital eligibility and access via vendor credentialing services.
• Cultivate relationships with customers, decision-makers, hospital staff, sales leadership, and cross-functional teams.
• Share market intelligence, competitor activities, sales leads, pricing, and account developments.
• Collaborate with R&D to support technological advancements and next-generation product requirements.
• Train new hires and contribute to quality and global best-practice initiatives.
• High School Diploma or equivalent with 8+ years of relevant experience, OR Associate’s Degree with 6+ years, OR Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years.
• Relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences.
• Willingness to travel with overnight stays up to 50–75% of the time.
• Valid driver's license and an active vehicle insurance policy.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and throughout employment; sponsorship is not available below the Principal level.
• Capability to travel extensively by car and air.
• Ability to work in cath labs or operating rooms with exposure to radiation.
• Capacity to wear a lead apron for an average of 2–3 hours and required PPE.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds.
• Proficiency in operating a moving vehicle.
• Flexibility to work outside typical Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. hours.
• Competence in using computers and CT reconstruction programs.
• Ability to perform CT reconstruction and interpret TTE/TEE, CT, and angiograms.
• Knowledge of CoreValve and Medtronic TAVR product instructions for use.
• Familiarity with clinical trial protocols, TAVR literature, cardiac and vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
• Preferred: proven sales success and a track record in medical device sales.
• Preferred: experience in cardiac, endovascular, interventional cardiac or vascular, EVAR/TEVAR, cardiac surgery, or SAVR.
• Preferred: experience in physician and hospital-administration communication, account management, device launches, market development, C-suite calling, and medical personnel education.
• Preferred: strong interpersonal, written communication, influencing, consulting, organizational, planning, and decision-making skills.
