Senior Control Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee intricate control system design, which encompasses I/O design, architecture, submittals, and testing documentation.

• Continuously grow and enhance technical knowledge through training, publications, and active participation in the industry.

• Provide technical guidance across a variety of projects and teams.

• Assist in business development efforts by creating technical proposals and delivering presentations.

• Work together with project managers to guarantee timely, accurate, and cost-effective project delivery.

• Mentor engineers by offering expert advice across technical, financial, and operational areas.

• Promote company design standards and quality through the Quality Management System (QMS).

• Engage proactively and professionally with clients.

• Comply with client-specific standards and procedures.

• Offer prompt problem-solving assistance.

• Execute and manage project tasks within the established schedule and budget.

• Lead complete project lifecycles when designated.

• Act as the main point of contact for clients on assigned projects.

• Recognize scope changes and identify new business opportunities.

• Effectively delegate tasks and ensure team accountability.

• Accurately estimate timelines and manage project risks.

• Cultivate a collaborative and positive team environment.

• Direct and assist junior staff in construction, operations, and maintenance tasks as applicable.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with pertinent experience.

• Over 10 years of overall experience.

• At least 3 years as a Control Systems Project Engineer II (or equivalent role).

• Professional Engineering (PE) license and/or relevant industry certifications are preferred.

• Advanced leadership and decision-making skills.

• Capability to maintain effectiveness under pressure.

• Strong mindset for innovation and process improvement.

• Demonstrated ability to inspire and mentor engineers.

• Solid relationship-building abilities within the industry.

• Dedication to ongoing professional development.

• Active involvement in industry organizations.

• Willingness to travel overnight up to 50% of the time may be necessary.

• Participation in on-call rotation as required.

• A valid driver’s license is required.

• Must be fit for duty at all times.
