This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee intricate control system design, encompassing I/O design, architecture, submissions, and testing documentation.
• Enhance and broaden expertise through ongoing training, publications, and industry involvement.
• Provide technical leadership across various projects and teams.
• Assist in business development by creating technical proposals and delivering presentations.
• Work in conjunction with project managers to ensure timely, precise, and cost-efficient project delivery.
• Mentor engineers and offer expert advice in technical, financial, and operational areas.
• Promote company design standards and quality through the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Communicate proactively and professionally with clients.
• Comply with client-specific standards and procedures.
• Deliver responsive solutions to problems.
• Implement and supervise project tasks to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
• Lead complete project lifecycles when designated.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects.
• Identify changes in scope and potential business opportunities.
• Effectively delegate tasks and ensure accountability within the team.
• Provide accurate timeline estimates and manage project risks effectively.
• Cultivate a collaborative and positive team environment.
• Guide and support junior staff in construction, operations, and maintenance activities as necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with corresponding experience.
• Over 10 years of overall experience.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Control Systems Project Engineer II (or equivalent).
• Professional Engineering (PE) license and/or relevant industry certifications are preferred.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Ability to maintain effectiveness under pressure.
• A mindset geared towards innovation and process improvement.
• Proven track record of motivating and mentoring engineers.
• Excellent relationship-building abilities within the industry.
• Dedication to continuous professional growth.
• Active involvement in industry organizations.
• Willingness to travel overnight up to 50% of the time may be necessary.
• Participation in an on-call rotation as required.
• A valid driver's license is mandatory.
• Must be fit for duty at all times.
