This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Lead intricate control system design, encompassing I/O design, architecture, submittals, and testing documentation.
• Continuously enhance technical expertise through training, publications, and industry involvement.
• Provide technical leadership across various projects and teams.
• Support business development initiatives via technical proposals and presentations.
• Work closely with project managers to guarantee timely, precise, and cost-effective project delivery.
• Mentor engineers and offer expert guidance in technical, financial, and operational areas.
• Promote company design standards and quality through the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Maintain proactive and professional communication with clients.
• Comply with client-specific standards and procedures.
• Offer prompt problem-solving support.
• Execute and manage project tasks within the scheduled timeline and budget.
• Lead complete project lifecycles when designated.
• Act as the primary customer liaison for assigned projects.
• Identify changes in scope and new business prospects.
• Effectively delegate tasks and ensure team accountability.
• Accurately estimate timelines and manage project risks.
• Cultivate a collaborative and positive team environment.
• Direct and assist junior staff in construction, operations, and maintenance activities as necessary.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with pertinent experience.
• Over 10 years of overall experience.
• At least 3 years as a Control Systems Project Engineer II (or similar role).
• Professional Engineering (PE) license and/or relevant industry certifications are preferred.
• Advanced leadership and decision-making skills.
• Ability to remain effective under pressure.
• Strong inclination towards innovation and process enhancement.
• Proven capability to motivate and mentor engineers.
• Excellent relationship-building skills within the industry.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Active participation in industry organizations.
• Up to 50% overnight travel may be necessary.
• Participation in on-call rotation as required.
• Valid driver’s license is mandatory.
• Must be fit for duty at all times.
